This print was difficult to make. It took years of wrestling with the definition of the word "family." It took forgiveness and peace making. It took prayer and vulnerability. But when it was finished, I realized what it was. It was a promise to my future children that I would stick with them through life. I'd give them what I never got. I'd make that promise to them, and no matter what, I'd keep it.

CHARACTER STORY: They called him "MAGIC". The contractor that would fix your grandma's leaky roof, but never charge you. He'd hammer away in his garage building furniture for those who needed it. Giving many the peace of mind they needed with the work of his hands. He'd never stop... except when his little girl wandered up to him. He'd smile lifting her up in his arms. He'd show her the tools, name them, and tell her everything he was doing. He made time for her. Every time. No matter what.
